Vacancy – Designer/Artworker

Sparks is a brand and design agency for ambitious organisations with rich histories. We help them connect with a changing audience. To discover and express what matters now.

Our work starts with asking questions, reviewing, defining and designing the core brand. Right through to the final delivery and ongoing campaigns. Typically we work closely with clients long into the activation and implementation stages. We provide brand guardianship, creative and communication support to our client teams.

The role

We’re looking for a Designer/Artworker with a keen eye for detail to join and support our team in Shoreditch. Years of experience and titles are less important than your passion and skill at creating high–quality artwork, ready for print or sharing online.

You’ll be working day–to–day with the creative team, speaking directly with in–house client teams, and taking a lead role on the delivery of tactical projects. We’ll give you a healthy dose of freedom, plus the responsibility to deliver work that you’re proud of.

As a lean and versatile studio, we’re happy to wear multiple hats within the company. We collaborate throughout the stages of a project, from strategy, idea development to delivery. While the primary role is clearly defined, we will encourage growth into other interest areas for your professional development.

We’ll pay the going rate, based on experience. Holidays are generous. And, when we have a good year, we give bonuses throughout the agency.

While there is some flexibility to the role, we’re interested in speaking with candidates with:

– At least two years of relevant experience

– Excellent core skills in layout, composition and typography.

– Ability to artwork to specification

– Understanding of the printing and proofing process.

– Extensive working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite

– Independent management of workload and deadlines

– Ability to handle several projects at one time

– Well organised and systematic management of source files

– Collaborative with clients, freelancers, printers and tech teams.
