Chris worked in the Foreign Office and as a financial writer for Barclays before running the marketing team in Rothschild’s private client business. He’s been working with Sparks since 2009 and became a director in 2014
Gary started out at a design studio in Belfast in the 1990s, after training as a graphic designer. He came to London to work for a new media company in 1999 and established Sparks as a professional design studio in 2003.
Michael’s background is in fine art. Before founding Sparks with Gary in 2003, he spent nine years working in the charity sector while continuing to develop his art.
Richard develops new opportunities at Sparks. He uses brand strategy to help businesses across a range of sectors grow their commercial success.
Lizzie studied illustration at Falmouth University. Before joining Sparks in 2014, she spent four years as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator.
After studying French in Paris, Orlaith worked at a creative agency in Belfast. Since 2015, Orlaith has been writing and developing brand strategy at Sparks.
Mark holds a coveted D&AD (Design and Art Direction) award and a first class degree from Teesside University. He’s also had a career as a professional chef. Mark joined the team in early 2016.
Rachel trained as a journalist, writing for the Independent and Guardian. Her published books include a collection of start–up stories and a biography, Moore’s Law (2015). Rachel joined Sparks as an associate in 2016.
